Over The Horizon Publications Stock Photo Library

DVMG's photographic arm, Over The Horizon Publications, has an extensive stock photo library which covers four continents and many countries such as all states and territories in Australia, including Norfolk Island, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the United States, Canada, Bermuda, England, Wales, Ireland, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Austria, Luxembourg, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Asian countries include Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

In addition OTHP has documented the Canberra Bush Fires from 18 January 2003 until the official opening of the Bush Fire Memorial three years later. Photographs include the destruction of housing and other property, gatherings of local residents, the gradual recovery of nature, the construction of new dwellings, replanting sessions carried out by Greening Australia and hundreds of volunteers and finally, the opening of the Memorial. There are more than 500 photographs over 45 pages. Each page contains 12 thumbnails. Just place your cursor over individual thumbnails to see a larger version. Also available is a royalty free disc of 100 images from all over Australia. It includes all capital cities plus agriculture, animals, birds fishing, flowers and road signs, among a variety of subjects. At 72 dpi these are ideal for PowerPoint or Internet use. There is also a version at 300 dpi.

Tony is a journalist and photographer with more than 45 years experience in newspapers and radio and as a public affairs officer with Australia’s overseas information service. I worked on newspapers and BBC Radio in the UK, on the China Mail in Hong Kong, on the Mount Isa Mail and then the North-West Star in Mount Isa and on The Canberra Times before joining Australia’s overseas information service.  Over The Horizon Publications since January 1997.
